Do they need a side show?? I could fill in.
So at my doctor's appointment on Monday, I found out that I am measuring THREE weeks ahead...yeah. I don't know why I get so big when I'm pregnant, but I do. Maybe it's because I'm so short...it has no where to go but straight out. People have switched from telling me I just look like I have a basketball in my shirt to grimacing when they look at me. That doesn't help people!! If I have one more person tell me I look like I'm due any day now, I just might break down and cry. I have really enjoyed this pregnancy once I got past the first trimester. But now, people don't look at me with those adoring looks anymore...now I just get stares everywhere I go and pity looks. I'm not sure if they're trying to determine if I'm a teenage mom or if they're just apalled at my waddle. Okay, enough complaining for one day. I need to go find something to eat. . .

7 months
So this first picture was a happy surprise. Finley and I were just hanging out, messing around with the photo booth on our Mac. Finley loves to make faces into it and see himself on the computer. Anyhow, this is what we got...how sweet is that little hand?
AJ took this picture this morning...I must say I was rather alarmed when I saw this picture at how BIG my belly is! I really didn't realize how big it looks until I saw this. Hmmm...maybe that is why someone asked me if I'm having twins. By the way, don't ever ask a pregnant momma that...it's not that funny.
Today was a perfect weather day. We had a nice, crisp breeze. It feels like fall is coming and it feels good. I feel the need to start puttin' out my pumkins. Pin It

Finn's Turn
Finley has had some firsts lately as well. On August 28th Finley had his first day of Kid's Day Out for this year. He was so excited to start "school" again like his brother. He even posed for pictures. :) He came up with this first pose all on his own. He's pretty adorable if you ask me.
Showing off his back pack....
My big 3 year old walking in to school.... He was so excited to wear his backpack and he wanted to carry his lunch box as well.
This past Saturday Finley started First Touch Soccer. After 2 years of watching Avery play, he was ready and excited. Every time I would tell him he had soccer coming up, he would get a big grin on his face and say, "I get to play??!"
He had this huge smile on his face the whole time...
He is so cute to watch doing stretches. Whenever they tell him to touch his toes, he just squats down to touch his toes. :)
Finley loved kicking the ball. We were amazed at how good he did. We just kept looking at each other, surprised. He's usually pretty slow. We always say he's a day late and a dollar short because he's always trying to keep up with Avery and can't quite make it. But he was so good! He dribbled that ball all over the field and seemed to love every minute of it. He followed directions really well and listened to what the coach was saying. He just needed to have his time to shine and not be in bubba's shadow.
AJ & I have been talking a lot lately about how time has absolutely flown by. Our sweet baby Finley is just growing up so fast and really coming into his own. He seems like such a big boy these days. His old bedroom is now empty, waiting to get fixed up for the new baby. Whenever we go in there, we just feel sad. There are so many great memories in there from Finley being a baby. We remember how sweet he was standing in his crib with his arms up, ready to be picked up. We remember standing over that crib so many times, rocking a sleepy boy back and forth. I know that the room will soon hold new memories with a new baby boy...but I will always treasure the memories we made in that room with our Finley boy. Pin It

I am THIRTY.
I am thirty and I have an amazing husband and amazing friends and amazing family. I have not wanted to turn 30 at all. That number just doesn't even look pretty to me. It doesn't feel like me. But it is me, b/c that's what I am. I am thirty and I better get used to it.
So, my wonderful husband, unbeknownst to me had been planning a 30th birthday party for me for the last month. That is just love, right there. I had NO IDEA. I was totally shocked. He worked so hard to make my birthday so special.
On friday night I thought we were going out on a date for my birthday, but when we got to the restaurant I was surprised with a bunch of my sweet friends...there to celebrate for me. It was so fun. My sweet friend Emily worked so hard to make it extra special. She got pretty brown and pink balloons, georgeous flowers and decorated the tables. She really helped AJ put the whole thing together. And she had dark chocolates on the table which are my favorite. I was so
shocked and it was perfect. It was so fun to laugh and talk and eat good food with good friends.
This is my confused face when I first walked in . . .
I basically kept putting my hands on my face b/c I was so surprised and trying to take it all in . . .
Aren't these such pretty flowers? These are the flowers Emily got me and were the centerpiece for the table. . .
Pretty much the whole weekend was a birthday weekend. On saturday we just relaxed and even watched 13 going on 30 in the afternoon. We went to the clothesline fair in the morning and got me a funnel cake and fresh squeezed lemonade. It was so nice...AJ kept saying "It's your birthday weekend." I don't think I've ever had a whole weekend for my birthday. In fact, it actually started on Wednesday when we went out with my mom and David for my first birthday meal and went all the way through Sunday lunch with my dad, step mom & little sister, Hannah. Anyhow, I told AJ I wouldn't hold him to this standard for other birthdays. :)
Sunday was my actual birthday. I woke up to my boys running in my room singing "happy birthday." That is a great way to wake up. AJ made me chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and got me new shoes. I love them.
Okay, I guess these pictures are out of order...this is my pretty cake on Friday night...
