okay friends, i need some help.
we need a baby girl name.
i have many ideas floating around in my head, but none that i am just crazy about.
the name has to have at least 2 syllables because her middle name has one syllable.
here are some that are swirling around my head right now....
lucy
lilly
ruby
allie
evelyn or evie
hazel
eliza
adley
nora

ReplyDeleteI love your list! Another one I forgot when we were talking the other day is Adele. Happy name hunting!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear your sweet girl's name! I am loving Lucy...
ReplyDeleteHope you are well!!
We named our daughter Elsa which means consecrated from God.
ReplyDeleteOpps, I am sure that looks creepy. My husband was signed in. We named our Daughter Elsa which means consecrated from God.
ReplyDeletesome of the cute little girls we know that somewhat fit your criteria:
ReplyDeletemyla
camille (millie)
stella
adeline
adelaide
eliza
haven
hadley
callie
pearl--doesn't fit, but i love it
sophie
lenny
that's all I can think of right now. I'm sort of envious that you get to name a girl, but when it comes down to it, that's a lot of pressure!
Jessie, Maggie, Sydney, Abby, Trina, Leah, Christy, Erica, Rachel, Heather, Leslie, Holly, Julie (I could go on and on...)
ReplyDeleteAdley was my top girl name but Andrew couldn't agree with me. :) You'll pick a good one I'm sure! I also have been liking Clarese...you could call her Reese for short. And I like it said "Claire" "eese" not "Cla" "reese". To each our own!
ReplyDeletewe have a lilly :) (lillian kaye) so i am fond of that one ;)
ReplyDeleteEliza was going to be Micah's name...when the Doc told us he was a girl (early on - 12-13 weeks). We were going to name our girl that because we love the Hebrew meaning behind Eliza - it is actually the Hebrew word for JOY. You know I have many reasons that I'm partial to JOY. I'll be praying He gives you just the right name and that we can start calling her that and praying specific blessings over her. I just can't wait to meet her face to face in August.
ReplyDeletethat was from Mel, not chapelboy...hee hee.
ReplyDeleteYou have one of my favorites on the list! Evelyn! My other favorite is Chloe...they both seem like theyd fit a sweet little girl :)
ReplyDeleteMiracle....1st part pronounced like mira...("meeraclay")
ReplyDeleteEvangeline. Evie for short. I love that name.
ReplyDeleteI love old fashioned unique names! ... Elsie or Elsa, Sadie, Ila (Isla), Millie, Ruby, Mable, Adaline or Adelynn, Genevieve (Ginnie), Vivian (Vivi)....
ReplyDeleteAnnabelle Grace was going to be Annalise Marie, but it just wasn't her name.
ReplyDeleteI love the name Emma Grace, but Andrew wasn't a fan.
Charis (pronounced care-iss) is Greek for Grace has always been a favorite of mine.
We've found it easy to know the name some of our munchkins and so much more difficult to know the name of others.
I'll be praying for the Lord to show you her name!
I love Eliza. There is a girl here from Holland named Elisa, which is pretty also but a little difficult for Americans (pronounced Ayleesa). I've also always loved Elizabeth and you can get so many different names out of it. Others I have liked:
ReplyDeletePiper, Ava, Felicity, Pearl, Chloe, Milla, Micah, Mia (We actually have a daughter named Mia and I still love it. I always come up with names very similar!), Rose, Cambrie (you can call her Brie. We had to pass because that's the name of a French cheese :)Oh, and Maisie. I always thought that was so cute.
Picking a name is so hard but fun! I like to picture it written out on a pretty shirt or something like that to see if I really like it. Pottery Barn Kids and Abercrombie have really good ideas too.
My niece's name is Abilene...very different and unique!
ReplyDeleteJennifer
I like Eliza:) But seriously, if Aiden had been a girl he would have been named Emilia. I love that name and it goes well with a one-syllable middle name. Have fun! I love naming babies!
ReplyDeleteI like the name Lucy.:)
ReplyDeleteWhat's the middle name?
ReplyDeleteLucy and Nora are lovely!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't even know you!!! HOW funny is that...It's so exciting for you to be having a girl!!!! Congrats!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the name Berkley :) Have noooo clue as to what it means...but I sure do love it :) Good luck! I know you'll pick a great one :) Your little family is so cute...and going to be even cuter :)
ReplyDeleteOkay...me again...I was so curious to know what it meant...get this...it's Scottish...comes from a birch tree....but then I looked up birch...and it means, white, or to shine :) That's better than a tree :) Okay, I really hope you don't think I'm a weirdo...oooooh, and I love Camille ;) Okay, I'm done ;)
ReplyDeleteYou already have some fantastic names on your list... one of my favorites is Madeleine. If you are looking for unique, I also think Delilah is great -- and you could call here Lila for a nickname. A few others -- Caitlin, Chelsea, Hannah, Emma, Ella, Chloe and Caroline.
ReplyDeleteGood luck in your name search!
We have 4 girls & always have the hardest time with girl names! We have 2 syllable names as well, Brenna (Celtic-Raven maid, dark haired), Amber (English-reddish yellow gemstone), Hannah (Hebrew-Grace of God) & Lauren (Latin-laurel?). I always try to think of what is a great name now & when they are "Grandma So & So". I'm afraid that's where my love affair with lots of girl names ends as it sounds adorable for when they are 2, but not so much for 62! You have several lovely names on your list & in the comments, praying you have a healthy pregnancy & a name you love.
ReplyDeleteWHAT ABOUT. UM... KYLYNN WHICH WOULD BE AWESOME FOR A GIRL) AND YES (LUCY and allie) i can see you with, THAT would fit in. but you pick cuz whatever you pick well rock!
ReplyDeleteyour friend.
Nora was on our list too, we still love that name! :)
ReplyDeleteHere are my contributions:
Audrey, Farah, Hadley, Charlie, Evan, Harper....we like boy names for girls...and I'm not sure on the meaning of all of them, but I know Nora and Farah mean great things!
Happy name hunting for your fabulous little girl!
okay weird, I (Rebecca McKim) said those things, not Zack! haha
ReplyDeletehow about a few more?

ReplyDeleteMy name is Hosanna Grace. I've never met anyone else with my first name!
ReplyDeleteMyla Jane probably my favorite girls name ever (my only daughter's name). It is girly and very sassy, easy to spell, say, read, uncommon. Plus your family will have 3 boys and one girl as will my family... something to think about!
ReplyDeletegreer
ReplyDeletesinclair
delaney
I am afraid to suggest ANY names to you, but then I remember that two of your boys' names were once on my name lists too, so we might have similar taste ;)
ReplyDeleteBased on your list, the first name I think of is:
Alice
(such a sweet name that got a bad wrap due to association with housekeeping)
Oh I love the name Hazel!!!! I also really love the names Piper and Olivia!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw Adley I immediately thought of Hadley. I love that for a girl. It means "heather meadows". She might just be a "wild" flower with all those boys around.
ReplyDeleteI love Adley! That seems to go with your boys names, since they're all more "cool" names than traditional ones. Our top girl name (for our future child) is Brady.
ReplyDeleteI love Annaliese with the nickname Annie.:) Of course, that's the name we gave our one girl after three boys!:)
