our weekend

for the 3 day weekend we decided to take a trip to Kansas to visit AJ's parents.
we also decided to take our little Meliyah girl with us.

we weren't sure how it would go because we've never even had her over night before.
but we believed the Lord was telling us to take her so we did.

4 kiddos packed in and ready to go!

that was before we had to pull over on the side of the road and separate sawyer from meliyah.
he kept grabbing every book she had & then when she fell asleep, he started yanking her beads back and forth.  her head was going from side to side & she didn't even wake up.

once we got there, we had a wonderful time.

each of the kids got to help drive the big mower.

we tooks walks, played outside, rode bikes, talked and ate.
aj's mom is an awesome cook so we always eat well there.

on the second day aj's sister and brother in law & their boys came down.
the cousins always have a blast together.

what's more exciting than shooting foam rockets into a wheat field?
answer: retrieving them.

it's always so relaxing and peaceful in Kansas.
we love visiting.

it was fun to have a sweet little girl in the mix with all of those boys.
she did so great.   she slept like a champ and was the best traveler of the bunch.
