instafriday {lots o' pictures}

pretty much my phone is my camera lately.
are you like this?
i really need to get better about bringing my big camera out more.
i've gotten so spoiled from using my phone cam all the time.
soooo.....i've got lots of pics today.

here's a snippet of our last few weeks via the instagram . . .

a happy place to wash dishes.
my grandma's handwritten recipe card, fabric art from the sis-in-law, plant from my dear friend, mel, & chevron cutting board from my friend betsy.
milk glass loaf pan for soaps doesn't hurt. ;)

pre-mother's day sushi date with my mama.
yes. it was SO good.

oh sawyer.
daily dressed as someone new.
he had to dress nice for the big boys' piano recital so he went with secret agent.
he fixed his own hair.
also informed me "secret agents don't wear dress shoes."

piano recital cuties.
they did awesome!!

and the whole fam. :)

last day of school!!!!!

fun field trip with my boys to silver dollar city.
we stayed the entire day and closed out the park in the pouring rain.
such a great day, packed full of fun with friends. :)

a long day last week = picnic & movie night in the living room.

she has pretty clothes.
and she is pretty. :)

the booth is chock full of goodies!
if you're local {northwest arkansas} stop on by {all my treasures on huntsville in fayetteville}.
i'll be adding more to the booth this afternoon...yay for vintage & farmhouse finds! :)

i love this sweet little dress from india from our friend, chelsea.

oh ruby.
you are so very one year old.
can we please stop dumping things out in every room of the house?
kthanks.

summer is starting off right.
fun morning with my four and other providence friends at the botanical gardens.
butterflies, chickens, bunnies & water. :)

oh and flowers.
so many pretty flowers.
i dream of a big beautiful garden full of flowers.
these are shrub roses.
they smelled divine and i need them.

i am mad about these boys.
they are seriously the best i could imagine.

oh this is me.
a little bit vintage and a little bit country....in a nutshell. ;)

the littles had their last day of mothers day out yesterday so i took the big boys to crystal bridges museum of american art.
we saw the norman rockwell exhibit and it was awesome!
i love that my boys love to learn.

yeah.
i'm pretty much in love with these chippy, metal, vintage tables my mom brought me.
one for me and one for the booth!

well hip hip hooray it's friday and this is a 3 day weekend!
have a great memorial weekend, y'all. :)

thrift store thursday!

well my thrift store finds today were pretty pitiful.
and by finds, i mean find.
i really need some hoarders to donate some more stuff to the store....the pickins are slim lately.
or i need a really good estate sale or garage sale.

anyoo...the only thing i walked away with today was this frame....new in package for 3 bucks.
 i always need frames.

i ran some other errands this morning to get supplies for some fun projects!
i can't wait to show you. :)

i also did a revamp of my flea market booth.
i had a short amount of time to get everything done before i had to pick up the littles so the result is not spectacular or anything.

we decided we didn't want to use our black book shelves in the new house so we moved them to the booth so that i can give my mom her shelves back.
it was a wee bit zealous of me to think i could do all that in an hour this morning so i was pretty rushed.
thankfully AJ met me there and carried shelves in and out.
i was down to the wire so i didn't get to really style it like i wanted but you know...it's all in there for now.
i will hopefully do some more rearranging next time i visit. :)

our bar in our new house is taller so i am selling these distressed chevron bar stools.
i love them and i hope someone else does too!

in other news...i tried a new drink yesterday.
hazelnut macchiato.
oh my gravy.
it's awesome.
thought you'd like to know. :)

happy thursday friends!

thrift store thursday

thursdays are such a happy day. :)

and today was extra special because i got to hang out with a dear friend and go thrift store shopping with her!
so much more fun with a friend.

i am soooo bummed that i forgot to take a picture with jenny and her cute house.
guess we'll have to have another thrifting date. :)

so, jenny fed me coffee and baked oatmeal and then we headed out thrifting.
jenny lives in the town i grew up in and it's chock full of adorable shops.

my new favorite is vintage accents

{i did not take that picture, i grabbed it from facebook...hope that's okay!}

they had all manner of amazing finds that were totally my style and great prices.
that's hard to find.

fun fact: the owners live in the house i grew up in and have a blog....so i basically get to stare at my old house online and see all the awesome things they are doing to it.  . . . pretty fun.

i picked up these great vintage juice glasses.

they are actually jelly jars but i grew up using the same kind so these make me happy.
the glass is nice and thick and they're skinny so they should be great for the boys to use.

i picked up something else super fun but i can't show you because it's a gift for someone. ;)

after i came back and picked up my littles, we quickly ran into our thrift store for my weekly fix.

the vintage travel clock and big picture frame will go in the booth. . . although i will probably spray paint the frame and put a fun print in it.

i think i'll keep the smaller wooden frame and i'm going to use the wire bin for display in the booth.
can't wait to get back up there and do some fluffing!

thrift store thursday

welp, it's thursday, so you know what that means.
mama went thrifing.
got my weekly fix.

also, incidentally pulled through krispy kreme and got myself a hot donut as a reward for going to the dermatologist in between my thrifting adventures.
best dollar i ever spent.
that's like a little bit of fluffy heaven in a box.

okay back to the thrifting...stay focused, sara, stay focused!

i didn't get a lot, but what i did get, i love.

numero uno:

do you love her?
i do.
i've been eyeing her and today she was 50% so it was obvious.

vintage floral needlepoint? yes. please.
the hardest thing about thrifting for the booth is that everything i pick out is something i love and want to keep.
this is going to the booth so i will be hauling it up there asap so i don't get any ideas.

vintage. aqua. ball jar with metal handle.
favorite.

and a sweet little puffy vest for sawyer.
he didn't neeeed it per say.
but it was 50 cents.
it would have been wrong not to get it.

what about you guys? been thrifting lately?

if you've blogged about it, i would love to see!  link up in the comments. :)

thrift store thursday

you know what is my favorite?
thursday mornings at the thrift store.
you can find me there {and the other regulars} every week.
thursday mornings are the day that the 50% stuff goes to 50 cents a piece and the 25% off stuff goes to 50% off.
it's a good day to be thrifting.

thursday mornings are the one time in a week that i am totally alone.
i go hard and fast and try to get all my errands done in that 3 hours.
but my most favorite thing is to get a coffee and head to the thrift store.

i have found so many great things that it's hard for me to shop retail anymore.
plus i think there's so much more character in a good, vintage find.

wanna see what i got today?

three sweet little boy ties, perfect for easter {97 cents each}.

little boy clothes in perfect condition.

three things for me...a fleece, a sparkly sweater and a dress.
i think i paid $4.50 for all three together.

this vintage, tweed hat is from last week but i looooove it so i had to share.
finley looks like a little stud muffin in it. :)

two vintage ties went directly to the booth.

an old wooden drawer for 99 cents makes a great display for fabric.

not pictured, an awesome, looks like it's never been used, backpack for one of the boys.

it was a good haul. :)

what about y'all? have you been thrifting lately? find anything good?

instafriday

good morning, friends.
welp. it's been a good week.
our first full week back to real life & the schedule.

it's been pretty good.
we had a great homeschool day on wednesday so that was encouraging.

on monday night i got to go work at my booth.
i love adding items and rearranging.

i brought in this white cabinet from our kitchen.
i love how it looks in the booth. :)

i love how full the booth is getting.
my little chalkboard tin sign says:

Sweet Petunia
a collection of vintage, handmade & farmhouse finds
*updated weekly*

:)

i am so looking forward to a pretty chill weekend.
we are planning to have movie picnic night tonight...our family fave.
basically that's just a kid movie {that aj and i don't hate}, dinner in the living room on trays, and lots of cuddling. :)
the boys and i decided on prince caspian for tonight.
yay.

what are y'all up to?
