happy friday, y'all.
the weather has cooled off this week and it's been awesome.
so many people look at me and say, "you must be dying!"
honestly the heat hasn't bothered me that much.
but that's probably because i'm not hanging out in it...i'm either inside or in the pool.
but this week has been downright balmy with highs in the low 90's.
we've been eating out a lot.
i've been on a cooking strike for a while now.
i just don't have it in me right now.
i miss cooking and eating at home every night....we'll get back to that routine soon enough though.
aj and i keep saying, "this is just a season."
last friday night we ate at burger king on our way to a prayer meeting.
icee's are 99 cents.
that's one dang big straw.
we went school shopping on tax-free day.
it. was. nuts.
holy cow, i didn't expect that.
but, we persevered and got the boys school supplies & some new clothes.
they are pumped about their new "running shoes."
they wanted to go running with daddy the next day so they could try them out. ;)
i am sewing & hot gluing up a storm lately.
i had to go get more pink, girly fabric.
did you notice the pom poms in the nursery post yesterday?
most of them are from our PINK, girly shower that our sweet friends threw for us.
i made a couple more big ones to add to them to hang up in her room.
i got this happy, happy mail yesterday.
aj's sister jill is super crafty and made these sweet hair flowers & headbands for baby girl.
i looooovvveeee them.
she has an eye for fun, vintage fabrics.
that was such a fun surprise. :)
last night we went to open house at the boys' new school.
we checked out the school bus....i didn't realize they had never seen the inside of a school bus.
they were fascinated.
we met their teachers and signed up for various things.
we toured the school & and i think that eased their nervousness and built their excitement.
aj and i were feeling a little bit sad & overwhelmed to be leaving the little family that we had at providence.
but Jesus gave us a sweet moment with a pta mom.
she said, "you're going to LOVE it here. there are so many believers and so many teachers are believers."
it just reminded me that He is in control, He has a plan, and He's going to take care of my boys.
i can't believe they start monday!
have a great weekend, friends. :)

hi sara! why did your boys switch schools? is it because you moved to a new house, or is it because homeschooling is too much with a new baby? maybe you mentioned it already and i just missed it, sorry! :) loving the girly nursery touches!
ReplyDeleteMy 6 year old starts school this Monday too! It'll be his first time ever attending an outside school so there's some nervousness, but the Lord is in control always, the timing is right for us and I'm thankful for all the time I've had him at home with me. I'll be praying for your boys adjust very easily to their new school.
