Lake Ft. Smith

AJ had 10 days off.
It was dreamy.
The first part of the week we stayed home & did fun activities with the boys each day. It was so nice...especially w/ a baby.
One day we went to Lake Ft. Smith. It was so great! The whole place was immaculate.
The first thing we did was go into the main Lodge/Welcome center. There were fun activities for the boys.... dressing up in civil war era clothing, looking through the binoculars at the grounds, old timey puzzles & many neat displays.
Then we got geared up for our hike. The boys were beyond excited to hike through the woods.
Sawyer had the best deal.
Avery found a walking stick along the way and was using his flashlight to scope out bugs & lizards.

It was really so fun. I really love hiking....and hiking with those 4 guys...bliss.
We had a picnic lunch and then went to swim in the awesome pool. It had a big pool w/ 2 slides, a toddler pool & a splash park area. There were a handful of other people there so it was easy to keep an eye on the boys. Sawyer, being the dream baby that he is, splashed around for a little while and then promptly fell asleep in his stroller. I was so thankful b/c then I was able to just play with the boys and lay out. It was a nice break. :)

If you're anywhere near Lake Ft. Smith, I would highly recommend making it a day trip. We are already planning to go back there and camp overnight. Pin It
