hi, monday.

happy monday.
i hope y'all aren't getting tired of all my random posts.
because i've got another one for you today.

so we had a great weekend.
how can you not when it's summer and it's in the 90's?
this is my idea of perfect.
it smells like summer outside. love. it.

friday night we got to use our pool for the first time.

oh my word, it was so great.
when aj came home from work, he went & changed into his swimsuit and ran and jumped in the pool in a cannonball.
we had no idea he was even home.
it was such a fun surprise.

we ate dinner out by the pool every night.
bliss, is what that is.
this is going to be a fun summer.


we had our yard  sale all day saturday.
it was a long, hot {imagine swollen feet & ankles} day.
we made some money, sold aj's car, aka. our lawn ornament, and got rid of a ton of junk.
glad we did it.
glad it's over.


it would have felt like a bit of a wasted saturday except that we got to spend the afternoon & evening in the pool.
seriously, so thankful for that pool.


the boys had a lemonade stand in the morning before they had to leave for baseball.

they shut down shop as soon as they made enough money to buy a new wii game that avery has been saving for.
he saw that the games at big lots are 10 bucks, so he's been saving for one ever since.


on sunday afternoon, the boys went to a baseball clinic at the naturals ball field & i cleaned and napped.
then we had some friends over for swimming & pizza by the pool.

this morning aj and i were getting breakfast and we noticed this:

my sweet 8 year old boy sitting outside reading the Bible.
that does this mama's heart good. 
i needed that encouragement this morning.  Pin It
