exciting times of a stay at home mom.

the kids and i had a pretty low key day yesterday.
we had to get out for piano and a quick trip to the thrift store, but other than that, we were home.
finley would have been happy to stay home all the day long.
which is crazy to me because he had been in the house for two days straight already.
and we've been mostly at home for the past two weeks.
that boy is a home.body.

i love our cozy home, but i also need to get out and about.
if i stay home one day, i'm itching to get out the next day.

enjoying our last weekday morning of cartoons for a while.

is there anything better than footy pajamas?
oh mercy, i love a sweet, cuddly baby in footy jams.

the rubes has the cutest smile these days.
she'll smile on command and i love how scrunchy it is.
adorbs.

unbeknownst to be, finley had a pocket full of change when we went to the thrift store.
it was burning a hole in his pocket.

one way or another he was going to find something to buy.
he reallyreallyreally wanted this build-your-own mini golf set that you get at those lowe's build and grow clinics for free

i tried to talk him out of it, but eventually gave in.

and i'm so glad i gave in.
the boys did the kit all by themselves and were so cute working on it!

avery told finley exactly what to do and held the pieces steady for him to hammer.
so sweet.
i love when they have such sweet brother moments.
they don't always talk kind to each other and they do get irritated with each other sometimes, but mostly, they are really sweet brothers with a really sweet relationship.
i am so thankful for that.

plus it kept them outside, getting fresh air and entertained for a while. ;)
win, win.

also, the last few days have had highs in the low 50's.
i'll take it.
keep it coming.
sunshine is my friend.
